| Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is the UK’s most common,
life-threatening inherited disease. It affects over 7,500 young people
in the UK and 1 person in 25 carries the faulty gene that causes CF,
usually without knowing it.
Average life expectancy for someone with CF is just 31 and there
is presently no cure.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the UK’s only national charity
dealing with all aspects of Cystic Fibrosis. It funds research aimed
at improving the symptoms of, and finding an effective treatment
for, Cystic Fibrosis. It also provides information, advice and support
to families across the UK and aims to ensure appropriate care for
those with Cystic Fibrosis.
Through running with Team CF in the BUPA Great Wales Run, or taking
part in any of our other events
or challenges, you are helping us to take one step closer to
See Off CF.
Thank you for your support - it will make a difference to over
7,500 youngsters in the UK and, ultimately, many thousands more
across the world.
